Think Blue!

This past Wednesday we happily discovered that we will be expecting a little BOY this January.  I was about  90% sure it was a boy in there, so I had already mentally prepared myself for such news.  The ultrasound tech kept us in suspense waiting until the very end to give us a nice shot of his little boy parts.  She says he's measuring right on schedule and that everything looks great!

We are so very excited to be adding some testosterone to our estrogen filled family!  Now it's time to plan a nursery and think of what to name this little boy bundle!

There's our little bundle, floating around

A Fond Farewell

As some of you know, this past week we said goodbye to my Great Aunt Marilyn.  She lost her fight with cancer on July 31, and while we knew the time was coming it sure doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye.  The Thornbro/Elliott families congregated in Michigan for a few days and spent time reminiscing, consoling, laughing, and crying, but most importantly we spent our time enjoying each other.  It isn't very often that we all can get together and it's amazing to see how much our family has grown.  I know that Aunt Marilyn would have loved every minute of our long weekend spent together.

Here are a few photos from our time together...I know some of the family will appreciate adding a few of these to their collections.
