Lucy Goose Turns 2!

Happy Birthday to our little Lucy Goosey!!  Today she turns 2 years old....or 14 years old, however you want to look at it.  She started out this year as a little puppy that still liked to run away from us and do things she knew she wasn't supposed to, but then baby Ryleigh came along.  We weren't sure how Lucy would react to not being "the baby" anymore, but gladly, her motherly instincts kicked in and now Lucy is like a little built in babysitter.  She wouldn't dare run away from us, she knows where she can and can't go, and aside from getting a little over-excited at the sight of new dogs and people, she has really calmed down.  We are so excited to watch her as she starts to interact with Ryleigh more now this next year, and for many years to come.  We love our Lucy and can't imagine life without her!  She has brought so much joy and many great memories to our lives.  Here's to many more wonderful years with our precious Lucy : )

Since we don't really blog about Lucy that much, I figure I'll post pictures from the beginning through this past year, that way we can really appreciate Lucy on her special day.  Enjoy our pooch!
The Beginning

These pictures are from Lucy's first days as part of our family.  For those of you who don't know, we were in Michigan for a quick weekend trip when we saw a sign on the street for bulldog puppies.  We called the number and set up a time to see them, not thinking we would end up going home with one.  We should have known better.  Lucy stole our hearts from the minute we saw her little 11 week old, 17 pound body.  We went home with our first baby that day.

This was our first picture of Lucy.  It was taken before we even got her into our car.  She had an instant love for Yaya.

Some Classics
Lucy's first year

Lucy loved to play on our stairs at our old house, but most of the time her little puppy legs couldn't keep up with her!

it took Lucy many months before she got used to the ceiling fans

Lucy's Cherry Eye.  She was too young to get surgery done once it popped out, so she had to live with it for another month or so.  It didn't bother her though, just Mommy & Daddy.

Lucy positioned herself into Ryleigh's boppy the second Ryleigh was out of it! I think she was just as fond of the boppy as the baby was.

While we were on vacation, Lucy spent time with a family from church.  Clearly, they took good care of her...their son on the other hand, it's debatable.

This was Lucy the night we picked her up after our vacation.  Clearly she was pooped.
